The Royal Mail has announced that the golden postbox in Maidenhead High Street is to remain a permanent fixture.
The postbox was given a golden coat last year to mark the success of equestrian Sophie Christiansen at last year's Paralympic Games in London.
It has now received a fresh coat of paint and a plaque has been attached to help provide a permanent reminder of Sophie's success.
The 25-year-old, who lives in the town, won three gold medals at the games.
Two other postboxes, in Sunningdale and London, have also been painted gold to celebrate her achievement.
