Rival award schemes have been combined to find Windsor and Maidenhead's 'volunteer of the year'.
The Royal Borough has teamed up with Windsor and Maidenhead Voluntary Action to present the award jointly, after each held their own separate ceremonies last year.
The new combined award is being sponsored by the Radian Group.
The organisers hope that sports groups, campaigning organisations, environmental groups, residents’ organisations or ordinary good neighbours will be in the running.
The deadline date for nominations is Friday, September 6. The prestigious Volunteers of the Year award evening will be at Eton College Rowing Centre, Dorney Lake, on Thursday, October 3.
Visit www.wmva.org or email wmvafw@hotmail.co.uk for a nomination form.
