Staff from the software company Ektron swopped their computers for garden tools when they joined the team at Braywick Heath Nurseries on Thursday.
Ektron is based in Bell Lane, Maidenhead and is one of many companies across the Royal Borough whose employees volunteer to support good causes in the area.
Windsor and Maidenhead Voluntary Action specialises in fixing up volunteers with suitable good causes. So when Ektron asked for advice, the WMVA sent their team straight to Braywick Road where Braywick Heath Nurseries operates as a non-profit making business.
It was opened 15 years ago by Prince Charles and utilises the horticultural talents of people with disabilities and learning difficulties.
A team from Ektron joined staff there for a day cultivating this year's crop of potatoes and vegetables.
