A petition appealing to the Government to stop the Golden Harp pub in Maidenhead being turned into a Tesco Express has been launched online.
The appeal, to the department for business, innovation and skills, calls on the Government to stop a 'relentless attack on community pubs', in particular at the Furze Platt Road site.
Tesco has appealed against a Royal Borough decision to reject applications to turn the pub, which closed in December, into an Express store.
The petition has so far gathered more than 30 signatures since launching this week.
It can be seen here.
