The headteacher of Oldfield Primary School has said Bray Action Group members who staged a protest near to the school should have demonstrated elsewhere.
About 55 members of BRAG staged an hour long protest in Bray from 8am yesterday morning to highlight their opposition to plans to re-locate the school in Chiltern Road.
Headteacher Richard Jarrett, said: "We were surprised today, on sports day which is one of the most exciting days in the calendar for the children, to see the BRAG demonstrators on the Bray Road.
"We understand that this is an emotive issue but cannot help feeling that they may have been better off campaigning outside the council offices where these decisions are made."
A planning application for the new building, which would be built on a new site on green belt land in Bray Road was submitted to the borough in May with a decision expected next month.
The new site would cater for 420 children and aims to open in September next year.
Paramedics were called to the scene of a medical emergency in Maidenhead on Monday morning (June 27).
All lines are currently blocked between Reading and London Paddington stations due to a person being hit by a train.
