Milkshake presenter Olivia Birchenough talks about live show

It's time to come out and play in Milkshake's new live stage show.

The children's television programme is touring the country and bringing along some recognisable faces to join in the fun.

The all-singing and all-dancing show is presented by familiar Milkshake presenters including Olivia Birchenough.

"It is just a really good atmosphere," she said. "It is get up and go, we do not stop."

The interactive performance features a race against time as the characters find they are stuck outside the television and need the children's help to get home.

Olivia, who has been working as a Milkshake presenter for a year, said she has never looked back since landing the role.

"I absolutely love it," she said. "I have learned a whole new skill.

"I always remembered watching kids television and the effect the presenters had on me."

Parents and children can join in the fun with the show which features new songs, classic favourites, and funky dance moves.

Olivia, who recently graduated from Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance, said the show has been a massive success since it began touring last summer.

"Everyone seems to be loving it. We seem to be selling out everywhere. It is amazing," she said.

And despite the hectic schedule, which includes performing up to three times a day, Olivia continues to enjoy it.

"It is a high energy show and we would love to see everyone there," she added.

Milkshake! Come Out To Play comes to Reading Hexagon on July 20 and Wycombe Swan on July 27.
