A talented chef has made it through to the finals of a cookery competition.
Elizabeth Allen is one of seven young chefs to have been selected to take part in the Electrolux Chef Academy 2013 final and compete for the opportunity to win a 12-month work experience placement in three Michelin star restaurants.
The 24-year-old from Maidenhead said she is looking forward to the final on July 22 and hopes to be selected as one of three chefs to be awarded the top prize.
"It would be a fantastic stepping stone in my culinary career if I were given the chance learn from and work alongside the best in the industry," she added.
Elizabeth, who studies professional cookery at Westminster Kingsway College in London, is no stranger to competing in cookery competitions having beaten 20,000 amateur chefs to make it through to the last 20 of the BBC's Master chef 2011.
