Youngsters joined by special guest for sunny sports day

It was a double celebration for children and staff at Positive Steps Nursery on Tuesday.

Enjoying their annual sports day at Desborough Park, the Norden Road nursery was also celebrating its fifth anniversary.

Following a variety of traditional sporting games including an egg and spoon and sack races about 100 parents and children enjoyed a barbecue back at the nursery.

They were joined by guest of honour Deputy Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr John Lenton, who arrived to join in the fun.

Senior manager at the nursery, Anna Smith, said it had been a successful afternoon.

"It was enjoyed by everyone that attended," she said.

"We had some fantastic feedback from families."
