A man has died after falling from a crane which landed on the M25.
One lane on the M25 is closed anti-clockwise, between junctions 16 and 15 near Iver, and there are delays of up to about an hour and a half.
The accident happened after 9am this morning. The crane was in a yard next to the M25 and has not yet been removed from the carriageway. The man, who died at the scene, has not yet been formally identified.
The lane is closed anti-clockwise between junction 16 (M40) and junction 15 (M4). Congestion is back to junction 18, A404 (Chorleywood).
Normal traffic can be expected from 3pm.
UPDATE: 2PM: One lane is still closed and queueing traffic for 10 miles on M25 anticlockwise between junction 16 M40 and junction 15 M4. Travel time is over 45 minutes. Congestion to junction 17, A412 (Maple Cross).
