Plans for the new Oldfield Primary School in Maidenhead are now available to view online.
The school wants to move from its current location in Chiltern Road to land off Bray Road so it can meet the growing demand for places.
An application for the site was submitted to the Royal Borough earlier this week and can be seen on the council's website by clicking here and entering the reference number 13/01341.
The plans reflect the results of a consultation which took place earlier this year.
Cllr Phill Bicknell, cabinet member for children's services, said: "It is really exciting to see this project take a huge step forward.
"We are in desperate need of more school places for our children in the east of Maidenhead and this brings us closer to providing those extra places in an attractive, purpose-built 21st century school."
If planning permission is granted then construction could start this autumn.
