Muslims in Maidenhead have made a show of solidarity and condemnation after a mosque was vandalised in the aftermath of horrific incidents in Woolwich.
Maidenhead Mosque, in Holmanleaze, had a window of a fire exit smashed overnight between Wednesday and Thursday - the night after a soldier was brutally attacked and killed in broad daylight in South London.
"What happened in Woolwich is not what Islam teaches. The Koran teaches brotherhood and love and a society where everybody helps each other," said Maidenhead Mosque chairman Fazal Awan.
"Our sympathies are with the innocent victim and the family. May God give them some peace."
Mr Awan said CCTV had not picked up who had smashed the door.
