A patient records department is set to become the latest service to be transferred away from St Mark's Hospital in Maidenhead.
The Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs outpatient services at the St Mark’s Road hospital, has confirmed the patient records clinic preparation service will move to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, but patient records staff will continue to be available for reception duties at St Mark's and outpatient clinics will run as normal.
It is the only outpatient service being moved and it is due to relocate in July.
The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT), which runs inpatient wards at the hospital, has also confirmed the relocation of the Charles Ward to Reading's Prospect Park, scheduled to take place in Spring 2014, is the only BHFT service planned to move away from the site at the current time.
The information was obtained from Freedom of Information requests.
