The fate of the £152million Kings Triangle plans could be decided at a special meeting tonight.
Councillors have been advised to approve in principle the redevelopment of the area between King Street, Queen Street and Broadway, with final approval delegated to officers subject to a string of more than 60 conditions.
The panel deferred making a decision on the application at a meeting in December due to a list of flaws, opting to give ING Red UK (Maidenhead) Ltd time to work on them.
A new report prepared by council officers ahead of tonight's meeting says the development should be supported, despite a number of outstanding concerns including the viability of the project.
Last time the officers did not make a recommendation.
