A mystery notice warning against eating ducks and swans on the River Thames has been posted near Boulters Lock in Maidenhead.
The poster, spotted on railings opposite the pay-and-display car park in Lower Cookham Road over the weekend, is unattributed and includes translations into several Eastern European languages, including Polish and Romanian.
A spokeswoman for the Environment Agency said it did not know who had put up the notice but there have been no reports or evidence to suggest swans or ducks on the river were being eaten.
