A burglar ransacked a home in Maidenhead before leaving empty handed.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the break-in at a house in Windsor Road at 2.15pm on Tuesday.
The thief smashed a window at the back of the property before searching inside.
A neighbour called the police after hearing the alarm go-off and seeing the burglar walking down the side of the house.
The man was last seen walking down the A308 Braywick Road.
He has been described as a white man with an athletic build, clean shaven with short blond hair.
He was wearing blue jeans and a red long sleeved tracksuit top with yellow writing on the back. He also wore white trainers.
