The funeral of Baroness Margaret Thatcher was held at St Paul's Cathedral in London today.
The Queen led mourners to Britain's longest serving prime minister of modern times whose coffin was carried to the service along streets lined with mourners.
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Cllr Derek Wilson (Con, Oldfield) paid tribute, saying: "Baroness Thatcher was a true inspirational leader for a generation, who gave everyone an opportunity and made everyone proud to be British around the world."
Cllr Wilson met and was photographed with the Conservative prime minister when vice chairman of the Wessex Area Young Conservatives group in 1987.
