Reading station works to cause travel disruption over Easter

James Preston

Rail passengers are being warned to plan ahead as major engineering work in the Reading area will cause disruption over the Easter weekend.

All lines between Reading and Maidenhead and Reading and Didcot Parkway will be closed from Good Friday through to Easter Monday as major reconstruction work at Reading station is carried out, including changes to the access routes in and around the station.

All lines between Hayes & Harlington and Slough will also be closed as part of the work.

Replacement bus services and revised timetables will operate throughout the weekend.
