A group of active ladies celebrated International Women's Day by taking part in a charity netball tournament yesterday.
The event was organised by Slough-based charity the Khidma Community Trust, a grassroots organisation which was established to work for the benefit of the community.
The competition at Slough and Eton Sports Hall in Ragstone Road featured teams from Slough, Maidenhead and London.
Team Smash from Maidenhead emerged victorious, and won cash to donate to a charity of their choice.
Raabia Akhter of Khidma said: “This is the first time we have held an event like this and we hope to hold more like it in the future, anything fun that we can get people involved with.
“We want to bring people from the community together and raise money for other organisations that would benefit from a bit of help."
