An 'alternative university' is being set up to offer young people advice about getting a foot on the career ladder in Maidenhead.
The conference will see companies, training providers and career guidance professionals on hand to give out advice about apprenticeships, training and employment.
Panel-led debates, skills workshops, a Twitter debate and mock interviews will also be held throughout the event at Maidenhead Town Hall from 10am on Wednesday.
Cllr Christine Bateson, cabinet member for community partnerships, said: "I encourage both prospective employees and employers to come along and take part."
The event has been organised by the Royal Borough's employment support service Grown Your Own.
