Newlands Girls' School pupils show off dancing talents

Creative pupils at Newlands Girl's School have been busy showing off their talents in their annual gym and dance show.

Yesterday and today about 400 girls at the Farm Road school performed in a spectacular dance show in front of parents and friends at the Magnet Leisure Centre in Holmanleaze, Maidenhead.

Girls from years seven to 13 were all involved in the show which featured a range of routines including one piece set to the theme tune of film 'Avatar'.

Rehearsals have been taking place since October for the two-day event.

It features whole class dances and a number of routines practised at extra curricular clubs.

Head of PE Leigh Exworth said expectations for the show get higher and higher each year.

"There are some really spectacular pieces, we are really very proud," she added.
