The comedian from the TV series The Goodies - Tim Brooke-Taylor - will be quiz master for the Thames Valley Pub Quiz Championships next month.
The TV and radio show personality will fire out questions on various topics at the Holiday Inn in Maidenhead on Friday, March 15, from 7pm.
Tim has been an actor in various sitcoms and is a panellist on the Radio 4 panel show 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue'.
More than 40 teams, and about 320 people, are expected to compete for the coveted pub quiz champions shield.
The event been held at the Holiday Inn for the past five years.
More than 30 teams have already signed up and in recent years teams have been turned away because the event is so popular.
The night is being organised by the Maidenhead Thames Rotary Club and will raise money for the Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP) and other Rotary causes.
"Quiz teams all over the Maidenhead and Windsor area are getting ready for their big night out at the Thames Valley Pub Quiz Championships to share banter with our charismatic question master Tim Brooke-Taylor," said John Carr from the Rotary club.
"It is a really good social evening with real ale and bottles of wine at pub prices and fish and chips served in newspaper."
The quiz is for teams of up to eight people. There will also be a raffle and a bar selling Rebellion Beer.
The cost of the quiz is £18 per person.
