Tonight could see another light sprinkling of snow followed by rain.
Drivers are being warned to watch out for ice on the roads as temperatures are set to drop to just above freezing throughout today and tomorrow.
Tomorrow could see some sunshine in the morning followed by wet and windy weather in the evening.
Rain is set to continue into Sunday morning but temperatures could rise to about eight degrees in the afternoon.
A spokesman for the council said there is enough salt in stock to treat roads and further supplies are on order if adverse weather conditions continue.
A response team will also be on call to refill the 140 grit bins placed with parish councils and local communities across the borough.
The Highways Agency is advising drivers to allow for extra time for their journeys and extra room for braking when travelling.
