A power cut caused a number of Maidenhead households to be plunged into darkness and freezing conditions today.
Around 30 households in Fullbrook Close, Ray Mill Road West and Florence Avenue were left without power from about 5.30am, caused by an electrical fault in the underground cable network.
Southern Electric engineers arrived to fix the problem and power was restored to most homes by about 4pm.
A handful of households are still without power, but a spokesman for Southern Electric said it should be restored within the next hour.
