The Royal Borough also said the appointment green waste collection service scheduled for tomorrow has also been postponed for a week.
The civic amenity site and the household waste recycling centre have both closed for the day and the situation will be reviewed early tomorrow morning.
The borough's gritting programme continues and a spokesman said its gritters are reloading and will be out again very soon to treat the primary routes again.
A council spokeswoman said there is sufficent salt in stock to deal with the snow forecast over the next few days and more is on order as a precautionary measure.
Council workers will be out early tomorrow morning to treat town centres in Windsor and Maidenhead so they are ready for the shops opening.
The Dial-a-Ride and Shopmobility services have also been suspended for today and a decision will be taken tomorrow morning on Saturday and Sunday operations.
The council's severe weather protocol for housing is also in place, which means it can offer emergency acccommodation to street homeless.
