Golden Eagles flying high after win over Chalfont Saints United

Thames Valley Football Development league matches resumed on Sunday following the Christmas and New Year break with the Golden Eagles u13s soaring to the top of Division 1 with a 5-1 win over Chalfont Saints United.

Harvey Gale netted a hat-trick for the Eagles while Daniel Carty and Haris Qureshi were also on target.

The only other game in the division saw Harefield United Youth held to a 2-2 draw by FC Cippenham Leopards.

Two games were also played in the u13s Subsidiary Cup with the Golden Eagles Flyers going down 10-0 to the Maidenhead United Cobras and RedKore triumphing 7-2 over FC Holyport.

The u12s Subsidiary Trophy kicked off with a derby match between the two Cookham Dean sides with the Dynamos and Rebels sharing the honours following a 2-2 draw.

One game was also played in the u12s Division 1 with the Burnham Juniior Lynx Blue claiming a comfortable 4-0 win over S4K Wolves. In Division 2 Burnham Junior Lynx White beat FC Cippenham Tigers 7-3 and the Marish Wizards Blacks cruised to a 19-0 win over FC Baylis Cubs. In the u11s Development games the Berkshire Elite Blacks won 10-0 away at 4FuturePro and the Maidenhead United Colts defeated George Green Juniors 5-2. The Burnham Juniors Tigers White were also 6-3 winners over Chalfont Saints Hornets at home.
