Youth sides show off skills in Festival of Football in Slough

Boyne Hill Buccaneers u10s failed to clip the Golden Eagles Flyers wings as they were beaten 3-1 in the Vase Final of the TVFDL Festival of Football in Slough on Sunday. In the Plate final at the same age group Windsor Owls Blues lost 2-0 to the Chalfont Saints.

The closest of the u10s finals was that between Chalfont Saints Spartans and Cookham Dean Dynamos which was settled by penalty kicks after the match finished 1-1. Chalfont lifted the trophy after a thrilling 6-5 victory.

In the u8s Cup Final competition Langley FC Youth Blues cruised to an 8-1 win over Harefield United, while Windsor Falcons Reds edged out Burnham Junior Cubs Blue 4-3 in the Plate event.

In the Trophy competition Chalfont Saints Leopard eased to a 7-3 win over Windsor Falcons Whites, while Delaford Colts Reds beat Harefield United Blacks 4-1 in the Vase final.

The Maidenhead Warriors u8s team, coached by Kam Saundh, also played some excellent football in the two matches they took part in.

The finals day was wrapped up with the u13s Subsidiary Cup Final between Cippenham FC and Golden Eagles, which Cippenham won 4-2. After falling behind Cippenham took the lead late in the first half through a penalty kick and added a further two goals in the second half to run out winners.
