Members of a social group for older men took a trip down memory lane during a museum visit last week.
Men's Matters, the social wellbeing group for older men based in Windsor and in Maidenhead, visited the Museum of English Rural Life on Wednesday (June 20).
The museum, which is managed by the University of Reading, explores the rural way of life and has a variety of collections on the history of the English countryside and its people as well as changes to farming practices throughout time.
Around 30 members visited the museum, and many men in their eighties and nineties were familiar with the old farming tools and agricultural carts on display.
Trustee, Paul Samuels said: “The value of Men's Matters excursions is the camaraderie that is generated between the guys and the sharing of stories from their past.”
