Windsor will travel to Biggleswade FC in the fifth round of the FA Vase, after confidently negotiating Saturday’s potentially tricky trip to AFC Uckfield.
Dan Roberts’ hat-trick and a penalty from Rob Lazarczuk sealed a 4-1 win and the Royalists progress to the final 16. They’re now only three victories away from the final at Wembley.
This afternoon Windsor were handed another away tie, no doubt to their liking, with the side having already won away at Chicester City (2-0), Erith Town (2-1) and Uckfield (4-1) in this season’s competition.
The draw for the fifth round was made at Wembley Stadium this afternoon (Monday), with non-league football fans tuning in live via TalkSPORT 2.
The next round of the draw will take place over the weekend of Saturday, February 2, but Biggleswade have tweeted that the game could be pushed back to Sunday, February 3.
Biggleswade booked their spot in the final 16 with a late 1-0 win over Stowmarket Town on Saturday. Pat McCafferty headed home the game’s only goal in the 86th minute.
Bigglewade were only formed in 2016 but currently sit third in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
The winning club will receive £2,250 from the FA’s Prize Fund, with losing clubs also picking up £750.
