Villagers gathered to celebrate the good work in the community and local businesses on Monday night.
At an awards ceremony hosted by Twyford Together, Tom Toy, of the Twyford Scout Group, won Twyford Citizen of the Year for his contribution to local scouting.
The award is handed out by Twyford Parish Council, and Cllr John Bowley and Twyford Together chairman Daniel Taylor presented it to him at the Business and Community Awards ceremony at Buratta’s in Ruscombe Lane.
Receiving his award, Tom said: "I am very flattered.
“I had no idea what was happening.”He added he was pleased scouting was experiencing a resurgence of interest, and was delighted with how the village had embraced it.
