The most sponsored walkers from this year’s Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP) Spring Walk have been thanked by the team at the centre in Bath Road.
The most sponsored individual, team and dog, and youngest participant were all presented with certificates on Wednesday.
The event, held on Saturday, May 14, has raised £8,000 for the playground for children and adults with special needs.
Nicky Hutchinson, fundraising manager for TVAP, said: “We’re absolutely chuffed to bits. The money is a crucial part of our running costs, and allows us to continue.”
Hardev Panesar, from Maidenhead, raised £2,000 and was the most sponsored individual after doing the 15-mile walk.
Base Point from High Wycombe, were the most sponsored team, raising £909; Bobby Kemp, 15 months, from Burnham was the youngest participant raising £600; and Bruno Lambourn, from Maidenhead, was the most sponsored dog at £170.
