Crowds of people were drawn to the 1878 Stadium on Saturday and Sunday for a ‘family weekend of fun and charity football’.

Organised by ex-Leicester City player Alan Paris and DJ Chris Biggs, the community of Burnham and beyond came together to enjoy some music, live football, food and drink, a charity raffle, plus much more.

A handful of celebrities made an appearance too in the shape of ex-Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey, former Olympian Mark Lewis-Francis MBE, and founder of Arsenal Fan TV Robbie Lyle (below).

The football matches attendees got treated to were Great Britain vs Rest of the World, Africa vs the Caribbean, India vs Pakistan, and Anguilla vs St Kitts & Nevis.

A veterans tournament also took place in honour of Paris’ dear friend, and captain of Slough Town in the 90s, Trevor Baron who sadly passed away in May 2022.

The competition, named The Trevor Baron Vets Cup, featured Slough Town, Windsor, Burnham, and Chalvey Sports with the teams made up of former and local players.
