Maidenhead United have announced the return of striker Adrian Clifton for the 2022/23 National League season.
The Montserrat international was first snapped up by the Magpies in 2013 when the side were operating in the National League South.
In this first spell, he helped the Magpies lift their first Berks & Bucks Senior Cup in four years, notably scoring in the competition’s final, a 4-0 win over Aylesbury United.
After two seasons at York Road, Clifton signed for Havant & Waterlooville on a two-year contract.
In July 2017, Maidenhead United’s official Twitter account announced that Clifton had once again signed for them.
According to online sources, Clifton won all five awards at the Magpies’ end of season awards, winning the Player of the Season awards from each of the players, manager and supporters, the Golden Boot award with 15 goals in all competitions, and the Goal of the Season award.
In May 2019, the striker made his exit again, this time joining Bromley for the 2019/20 campaign.
He most recently played for Boreham Wood and made 27 appearances scoring one goal.
