Flackwell Heath will host Cirencester Town in the FA Cup preliminary round this weekend after beating Roman Glass St George last Wednesday.
Marcus Richardson’s side will entertain the Gloucestershire-based Southern League Division One South outfit on Saturday.
And inspired by their performances in training and pre-season, Richardson is confident his side will be ‘up for the battle’ against the Centurions at Wilks Park.
“Our boys have got together and we seem to be heading in the right direction,” said Richardson.
“I’ve got a suitable squad that will play this weekend. My squad is very resilient and they understand the job we’ve got in hand.
“I like to believe we’re up for any battle in this moment in time.
“I feel that we’ve had a good pre-season and I’ve got to see loads of players.
“My squad has got another year older but I’m feeling very confident about this coming campaign to be fair. I like to believe my boys know each other inside out by now.
“This week will be a very good test for us. We had a good run last year. Anything of the same level or beyond will be another good achievement for the club.”
