A man from Slough has been jailed for six years for the rape and sexual assault of a woman in her twenties in 2021.
Mohammad Ilyas, 24, of Chalvey Park was sentenced on Monday, February 27 to six years imprisonment for rape and sexual assault in Slough.
At a previous hearing in on December 20, 2022, Ilyas pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
In March 2021, he raped and sexually assaulted the victim, a woman in her twenties, in Slough.
Ilyas was arrested on April 4, 2021, and was charged on July 27, 2022.
He will also be placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Thomas Harman, based at Slough police station, said: “Ilyas’s actions had a severe impact on the life of the young woman he attacked.
“Thanks to her incredible courage, strength and support, we were able to prove what happened and bring Ilyas to justice.
“I hope this case shows that we take all reports seriously and will work tirelessly to bring offenders before the courts.”
