‘Substantial barrier damage’ on the M4 is causing delays for motorists this morning (Monday).
A specialist barrier crew is attending the scene which is near junction 3 (Hayes) going towards London.
The crew will carry out repairs before the M4 can be restored to full capacity.
Drivers are being advised to check travel conditions before they set off.

Update 1.52pm: The M4 London bound, close to junction 3, is now fully reopened.
One lane was closed this morning as a specialist crew worked to repair 22 posts and 20 metres of barrier, as well as a lamppost.
