Max Worsfold playing for Maidenhead United
Slough Town have wasted no time in making their first signing ahead of the new season as Max Worsfold makes the short trip to Arbour Park.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Rebels from Maidenhead United, where he made 25 appearances last season, with injuries hampering his playtime at York Road.
Worsfold will have a familiar in the Slough Town dressing room, playing alongside current Rebel Jack Turner at Staines Town, where the attacking midfielder played over 250 times over five seasons, while captaining the side.
But as one new face comes in, two depart as Nathan Smart and Louis Soares both left the club.
Soares made 35 appearances this season, scoring three times, as well as providing the assist for the third goal in Monday’s Berks and Bucks final win over Reading Academy.
Smart was another player that featured on Monday, but he leaves the club after making no league appearances this season, mainly due to his impressive performances at Hartley Wintney, where he was made captain during his dual-registration.
