Maidenhead Rowing Club showed their strength in depth to win three events at the popular Thames Valley Park Regatta.
With 28 entries, the WJ14 coxed quads event was split into two completely separate events (tiers) to give more than one crew an opportunity to win, however this just gave Maidenhead the opportunity to come away with two victories.
Maidenhead’s tier one winning crew was Ametz Parcell-Arregi, Amelia Carpenter, Ellen Gomersall and Dallas Thompson with cox Ione Parcell-Arregi, while the tier two winning boat comprised Olivia Hall, Jasmine Stockdale, Poppy Jaminson, Abby Jones and cox Unai Parcell-Arregi. Both crews won their finals by one and a half lengths.
The WJ15 doubles of Bethyn Roberts and Stephanie Stuij, and Izzy Sellers and Elizabeth Hollis both won their heat, with the latter winning their semi-final before a narrow defeat by Kingston RC in the final.
In a rare outing of the WJ14 octuple sculls, Maidenhead won their heat but suffered a narrow defeat by a canvas to Henley in the final.
W Maidenhead’s J14 coxed quad of Nat Harlow, Max Bird, Patrick Jaminson, Jacob Ioras and cox Jimmy Harlow were winners at the Egham Regatta on Sunday.
The quad overcame opposition from Windsor Boys School in the final to win by three lengths.
Earlier in the day Ioras raced three heats to reach the final of the J14 singles, also Danny Lewis and Patrick Jaminson performed well to reach the semi-final of the J14 double sculls.
