An application to redevelop at site in Iver to create a new data centre features in this week’s public notices.
An application has been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council for the demolition of all existing units and structures at Ridgeway Distribution Centre at The Ridgeway in Iver.
This looks to make way for the site to be re-developed to provide a data centre development comprising a data centre building, MV building, and one sprinkler water tank and pump building.
It would also feature a security hut substation compound, including two switchrooms and electrical infrastructure.
A generator yard, with 27 back-up generators, one diesel tank and re-fuelling area, water tanks, a bin store, perimeter security fencing, and car and cycle parking and associated ancillary site infrastructure is also included.
The application can be viewed on Buckinghamshire Council’s planning portal under the reference PL/25/4351/FA.

Privacy PolicyElsewhere, an application looking to revise a scheme to re-develop a former golf course in South Bucks into a country park has been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council.
In November 2018, planning permission was granted for the development at The Academy in Stoke Road.
Now, the new application proposes to remove certain elements from the original consent, the planning document said.
The proposed changes look to change the use of the existing clubhouse into a café, with an associated outdoor seating area and a toilet block.
The plans will no longer feature the construction of cycle circuits, mountain bike or pump tracks.
But there will be general cycle paths running throughout the site.
It proposes the removal of the access onto Stoke Poges Lane, with is ‘no longer considered necessary, as there is adequate nearby access on Muddy Lane’.
The plans propose a reduction in the number of cycle parking spaces and coach parking.
There would be general small revisions to the layout and location of the pathways.
The plans also look to include a new play area on the north side of Muddy Lane.
The documents state that while the site previously formed part of a former golf course, ‘substantial works have progressed under the extant consent’ and the location is now an active construction site with ‘significant earthworks and site preparation works underway’.
The application can also be viewed on the Buckinghamshire Council planning portal under the reference PL/25/3172/FA.
