The new East Berkshire League season kicks off this weekend with some exciting matches lined up in the opening round of fixtures.
Britwell and Frontline will raise the curtain on the new Premier Division campaign at The Gore on Friday (September 3, 7,30pm).
The league and Burnham FC have a deal to play some of the matches on the new artificial pitch this season and entry for this first match under the lights is £3 with match day programmes £1.
On Saturday 2019-20 champions Old Windsor kick off their season at home to the team that took the title from them in 2020-21, Singh Sabha, at the Old Windsor Recreational Ground, kick-off 2pm.
Stoke Poges Saints get their season underway with a trip to Wokingham & Emmbrook Seniors Development on Saturday (2pm kick-off), while KS Gryf entertain Hype Train and Pundit FC host Iver Heath.
Rob Stevens, fixtures secretary for the East Berkshire League, is also running the London Marathon in October and raising funds for the Dash Charity, which works within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to help victims of domestic abuse. He’s hoping to raise around £2,000 and finish in four-and-a-half-hours.
