Holyport’s Harry King could be set for a return to the track next month for test dates, while provisional calendars have also been drawn up for the return of the Porsche Carrera Cup between August and November.
The 19-year-old has had to take an unwanted backseat due to the COVID-19 pandemic having been snapped up to race in the Carrera Cup by one of the competition’s most successful teams, Team Parker Racing.
He was also named Porsche’s GB Junior Driver of the Year, earning him £85,000 in sponsorship as well as advice and technical support from Porsche ahead of the new season.
Having stormed to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup title last season, King was building up nicely for the new season before it was suspended on safety grounds.
He now has two official Porsche test days planned at Donington Park on July 23 and Brands Hatch on July 23 before the provisional start of the cup season in early August.
The season is due to get underway at Donington Park on August 1-2 before the championship heads to Brands Hatch (August 8-9), Oulton Park (August 22-23), Knockhill (August 29-30), Thruxton (September 19-20), Silverstone (September 26-27), Snetterton (October 24-25) and Brands Hatch on November 14-15.
