Super bantam weight boxer Aaron Sinclair will step back through the ropes for his fourth professional fight at the Magnet Leisure Centre on Saturday.
Sinclair, from Cox Green, will take on an opponent on home turf for the first time but his ambitions stretch far further than that, with the Southern Area Title belt in his sights in the new year.
In his last bout Sinclair outboxed Russ Midgley over four rounds, earning a unanimous decision from the judges.
The Rebirth event will also feature several of Sinclair’s training and sparing partners from his gym, and they’ve been pushing each other on to greater heights.
“It will be good to have a few fights at home,” said the 24-year-old. “This will likely be my last four-round fight before moving on to six or eight-round fights. The plan is to do a couple of those in the new year and then go for the Southern Area title in March time.
“Training has been going really well. The other lads there will also be fighting in the same show. It helps to have all these guys from the same stable and we’ve pushed each other to the limit.”
Tickets for Rebirth are available on 07956 867534. It starts from 5pm.
