Great Britain’s synchro team have returned from the Down Syndrome European Swimming and Synchro championships in Sardinia with two bronze medals.
The team, who train with the Electric Eels Swimming and Synchro Club in Windsor, enjoyed a fulfilling few days away in Italy competing against the best juniors in the world.
Molly Khan and Millie Prelogar both picked up bronze medals, with Molly swimming her routine to This is Me from The Greatest Showman in the technical division. Millie also managed to get herself on the podium in the free division with her routine to Mamma Mia.
Also competing was Vivian Norris, who made huge strides from her performance last year but just finished outside the medals.
The three soloists were coached by Natalya Furneaux, Temira Furneaux and Anna Welland.
“All in all it was an unforgettable week full of new and fantastic experiences for both the swimmers and coaches,” said Izzy Rastall, from the GB Synchro team.
The team will look showcase their talents again at the Trisome Games in Turkey in six months time.
