Pitch perfect singers and a replica R2-D2 stole the show as a hotel in Marlow held a family fun day to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
Staff at The Crowne Plaza Marlow, in Fieldhouse Lane, decided to hold the fundraiser to show their thanks for the help Marlow Fire Station has given the hotel down the years.
People young and old got a close-up view of two fire engines brought along from the station in Parkway.
The Marlow and St Albans-based Next Stage Choir serenaded the crowds while scores of people queued up to have a picture taken with a replica R2-D2 model from the hit film Star Wars.
Kerry Cicirello, marketing co-ordinator for the Crowne Plaza Marlow, said: “The fire service has always really supported us whenever we’ve had family fun days and Marlow Fire Station is only based at the end of our road. It’s important to help people who play such an important role within our community.”
The hotel said the event, which took place on Bank Holiday Monday, raised more than £1,000 for its chosen charity.
