A special guest switched on the Marlow Christmas lights on Thursday.
Mary Berry, who is best known for delivering critiques of cakes and deriding pastries for having a ‘soggy bottom’, swapped the Great British Bake Off tent for the South Bucks town to introduce the festive season.
She hit a large red plunger to spark the electronics into action.
The Marlow mayor, Cllr Bob Johnson, said in his speech: “We have an extra special attraction this year, of course, with the wonderful Mary Berry.
“Huge thanks to you, Mary, we’re absolutely delighted to welcome you here.”
