A power failure has forced Bourne End Academy to close for the second week in a row.
The school tweeted last night to say the planned year 10 parents’ evening had been cancelled to ‘allow the electricity board to address their issue’, but did not specify what the ‘issue’ was.
The post added that it was expected to open as normal today.
However, this morning the New Road school confirmed that it would also be closed today.
It was also shut on Friday, October 14, after a power failure made ‘normal activity at the school impossible’.
