Famous London restaurant the Ivy has had an application to expand into Marlow approved.
The exclusive eatery, which has historically been the favoured haunt of sophisticated hell raisers such as Princess Margaret and Noel Coward, looks set to open at the former site of Clarks in the High Street.
Plans seeking a change of use to cafe and restaurant were submitted to Wycombe District Council's planning department in July and given the green light on September 8.
According to a statement from the company, the new business will be a 'café-style brasserie' featuring an all-day menu.
It is expected to open in spring next year.
The scheme has been provoked criticism however, with 16 letters sent to oppose the application, compared to just four in favour.
The reference number for the plans is REF:16/06871
