Around 2,000 visitors enjoyed attractions and transformed into their favourite comic characters on Sunday (April 7).

Maidenhead Comic Con & Toy Fair was back at Braywick Leisure Centre, bringing with it iconic vehicles from the A-Team and Ghostbusters.

Organised by Striking Events, this was the third event to take place in Maidenhead, with people of all ages turning out to enjoy the entertainment.

The famous Ghostbusters ECTO-1 car was one of an array of colourful displays and was joined by Cars favourite Lightning McQueen.

A Retro Gaming Zone provided some nostalgic moments for fans, who also got the chance to show off a costume during the cosplay competition.

More than 100 trader tables sold all types of retro, geeky and craft merchandise, and visitors also enjoyed free activities such as face painting and lightsabre training.

The event looked to bring the fun of comic con events into local communities.

Zoe Crofts, Striking Events owner, said: “It was lovely to see so many Maidenhead families at our event, and so many smiles, we love the Braywick Leisure Centre as our home in Maidenhead and look forward to returning later in the year.”
