2009: The Waterside Inn restaurant in Bray reopened its doors after a £2million refurbishment.

Renowned as one of the best restaurants in the world, the three Michelin-starred venue had been closed for three months while a project to update the kitchen was completed.

State-of-the-art equipment from around the globe was brought in, with 25 companies and 100 workers carrying out the development.

2009: An acclaimed comic artist was the main draw at Norden Farm when it held a host of children’s workshops as part of its No Limits Festival.

Beano comic artist Kevin Sutherland gave an art masterclass session to two groups of captivated youngsters, teaching them how to make a comic strip themselves.

2014: Plans were unveiled for a complete redevelopment of the Mill Lane site in Taplow – including a new restaurant at the former Skindles site.

Berkeley Homes displayed proposals to build about 230 homes on the site, which also included the former St Regis mill buildings.

2014: Runners had a spring in their step – and rabbit ears on their heads – as they took part in the Bunny Fun Run, organised by Maidenhead Thames Rotary Club.

The 5k race saw nearly 300 runners tackle a course around Oaken Grove Park.

2019: Volunteers from Plastic Free Maidenhead enjoyed an afternoon of litter picking in the waters around Bray Lake.

Twenty-four members of the environmentally-friendly initiative, some in kayaks and on paddleboards and others on foot, took part in the Surfers Again Sewage ‘Summit to Sea’ campaign.
