A Grade II-listed boutique guesthouse in Maidenhead has been sold for more than £3million to a domestic private investor.
Global property adviser Knight Frank has completed the sale of the River Arts Club in Guards Club Road to a new entrant to the UK hotel market for a guide price of £3.6million.
The former Victorian riverside mansion was converted into a boutique guesthouse and is known for its riverside position and contemporary interior design.
The property features 13 bedrooms – providing a selection of suites, single rooms and double rooms, a breakfast room, reception room, landscaped garden and 60 metres of river frontage.
The hotel is a 35-minute drive from London Heathrow and is located close restaurants including Roux at Skindles in Mill Lane, Taplow and Hand in Flowers in West Street, Marlow.
Chris Field, associate in Knight Frank’s Hotel Agency team, said: “We are pleased to announce the sale of The River Arts Club, which underscores the appetite from investors for luxury boutique hotels in attractive locations and affirms confidence in the hotel market, especially from active capital looking to enter the UK hotel market for the first time.
“The River Arts Club has established a compelling reputation for its unique interior design, homely feel and access to nearby Michelin star restaurants over recent years.
“We are confident that under new ownership it will continue to evolve into an exceptional business and offering for guests.”
