Tottenham Hotspur legend Steve Perryman has handed over an £800 donation to the DEBRA UK charity on behalf of the Maidenhead Spurs Supporters Club (MSSC).
Members of the North London club’s Maidenhead supporters branch have been fundraising for the charity in the build-up to the 2023/24 season.
DEBRA – The Butterfly Skin charity – is a national organisation dedicated to supporting people living with the incredibly painful genetic skin blistering condition, epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
DEBRA UK exists to provide care and support to improve quality of life for people living with EB, and to fund pioneering research into treatment.
The supporters club held a summer barbecue earlier this month and were joined by Juliet Thorne, Mark Whybrow and their son Joshua, aged five, who is living with EB.
Fans have been moved by the family’s story and wanted to do all they can to support the charity and raise awareness.
Steve Perryman, Tottenham’s record appearance holder, joined supporters for their summer social and gave a cheque for £800 to DEBRA to help it continue with its work. Visit debra.org.uk to find our more.
